Pilot Requirements:

Sport Pilot Certificate Requirements

• Be at least 17 years of age
• Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language
• Minimum 5 hours dual flight time
• Minimum 20 hours total flight time
• Pass the required FAA aeronautical knowledge test
• Pass the required FAA practical flight test 

Private Pilot Certificate Requirements

• Be at least 17 years of age
• Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language
• Minimum 20 hours dual flight time
• Minimum 10 hours solo flight time
• Minimum 40 hours total flight time
• Pass the required FAA aeronautical knowledge test
• Pass the required FAA practical flight test
• Obtain a third-class FAA medical certificate 

Instrument Rating Requirements

• Hold at least a current private pilot certificate and third class medical certificate
• Be able so read, speak, write and understand the English language
• Minimum 40 hours of simulated or actual instrument time
• Minimum 50 hours cross-country flight time
• Pass the required FAA aeronautical knowledge test
• Pass the required FAA practical flight test
• Obtain a third-class FAA medical certificate

Commercial Pilot Certificate

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be able so read, speak, write and understand the English language
• Hold at least a current private pilot certificate and third class medical certificate (a second-class medical is required to exercise the privileges of a commercial pilot)
• Must log at least 250 total hours of flight time
• Pass the required FAA aeronautical knowledge test
• Pass the required FAA practical flight test

Cessna 172  IFR Certified
